The Technical Services Start Right Kit provides crews with helpful tools and resources needed to support correct Brava roof systems installations. Each kit includes installation guides, visual references (Keys to Success), keyway spacing tools, and marking tools, all designed to support consistent, code-compliant, and warranty-approved roofs. You can also order individual tools from the kit.
Level 1 Training is required for approval.

What the Kit Includes

  • INSTALLATION GUIDES -  (1) Cedar Shake (1) Slate (1) Spanish Barrel Tile. Full printed installation guides are provided for each Brava profile. These guides include step-by-step instructions, specifications, illustrations, and detailed explanations to walk installers through every phase of the process.

  • KEYS TO SUCCESS (Cedar Shake/Slate) – 2 COPIES. A one-page, visual-only installation reference for Brava Cedar Shake and Brava Slate.

  • KEYS TO SUCCESS (Spanish Barrel Tile) – 2 COPIES. A one-page, visual-only installation reference for Brava Spanish Barrel Tile. 

  • KEYWAY SPACER TOOLS (English & Spanish) – 2 TOOLS.  Durable multi-use tools for setting the required 3/8" keyway spacing between Brava Cedar Shake and Brava Slate field tiles. Each 3/8" x 2-1/2" x 10" tool includes measurement markings for overhangs, minimum sidelap, and minimum keyway spacing. The reverse side features visual Keys to Success images (language independent), and a 10" ruler for checking exposure and other key measurements.

  • BRAVA CARPENTER PENCILS – 4 PENCILS. Brava-branded carpenter pencils that double as keyway spacers for Brava Cedar Shake and Brava Slate keyways, ensuring they meet the minimum 3/16" keyway. 

  • BRAVA GREASE PENCILS (WHITE) – 2 PENCILS. Brava-branded white grease pencils (china markers) for jobsite marking. Each ~3/8" diameter pencil can also be used to quickly check keyway spacing for Brava Cedar Shake and Brava Slate installs.
